October 2017

Well, August is all done and very nearly September, it must be my age as time is passing faster and faster.

Wildhern went well, and a good time had by all those there. Trevethen near Fordingbridge was a lovely weekend thanks a lot to the hot weather, a lovely spot, watching the owners training horses with the carriage one day going through the cones and then having a fire pit available. A good few of us brought wood and managed to burn it all, and it brought back memories of past times when we had camp fires.

Those who attended Fort Widley had a good weekend with the “Bring and Buy” on Saturday. Sniffer dogs came in to train and play, then on Sunday the Firefighters training, rescuing people from the depths of the Fort. The Saturday evening dance had several visitors as seems to be the norm at this event.

We now look forward to our Harvest Supper at Liss village hall and camping at Harris Caravans. Then later in the month the Halloween Party, now at Ballard School, near the New Forest. Our Christmas Party is at the Weyhill Fairground Hall, lots of parking there, with camping available at the Weyhill Fair pub which is walkable to the hall.

We wish you all good camping for the rest of the year, a Happy Christmas and New Year
