December 2022

Wessex had a very successful meet at Weyhill Fair with rousing singing and music in the Pub bar on the Friday evening. We express our great thanks to the Landlady of the Weyhill Fair for allowing us to hold our usual social evening in the bar. The locals seemed to enjoy the evening also. The Fish and Chip supper was a success as a change for our Harvest supper, followed by the usual Wessex evening of Dance Song and Music.

Our meet in February for our Birthday Party is situated in the New Forest which has many beautiful places to visit if you fancy a look, including the ‘Old Beams Restaurant’ nearby. Like our Christmas meet there will be many activities to do for those camping and having use of the hall over the weekend. For those just coming for the Saturday you are welcome to come anytime and join in with any activities or just sit with a drink and have a chat with friends you have not seen for a while.

Easter is next for us and we hope to see many of you there on the return to Sawston College in Cambridgeshire. Our meet after Easter is at the end of April at Tangley Parish hall in Wildhern for our AGM, Maypole and Penny fair activities, please come along if you fancy having a go. We hope you all have had a lovely Christmas and we look forward to an even better year of camping and Folk activities.
