December 2016

I am sure that every Secretary says this, but it does seem strange to write this in November. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.

Once again we had our Harvest supper at Greatham Village Hall which all went very well. Many thanks to our Stewards Sue and Patrick and all those that prepared and dished up the feast. We again had ‘Wild Wood’ to play for us and a good selection of callers and acts from members and friends.

Our Halloween party went well, again at Blackfield school and with a good attendance. Big thanks to Sue and Ken our stewards ably assisted by Mel and Paul who ensured that everything ran very smoothly. There was a good selection of unusual food at the Ghostly supper again such as Devil’s Blood punch etc.

We now look forward to our Birthday party in February and we will not have the unfortunate clash with the South East residential weekend as last year. Many of our members attend the SE meet and some have done so for many years which meant they had to make a difficult decision last year.

After that we will be preparing ourselves for the Easter meet at The DeMontfort school, Evesham and very much hope to see many of you there to enjoy all the varied Dance, Song, Music and Craft activities that we, the Folk Group do!

All the very best and good camping.
