April 2018

Wessex had its 39th Birthday Party at Ibsley Village Hall in the New Forest and a jolly time was had by all there. A great variety of nibbly things were brought by members to the Birthday Supper and enjoyed by all. I will let you know how our AGM meet at Weyhill went in the next newsletter.

Our Maypole and Penny Fair weekend will be at Wildhern again and we hope to have a great variety of games and activities happening over the weekend, with Welly Wanging, Horseshoes, Shove Halfpenny, Marbles into an upturned plant pot, and any mad games people can think of.

For the Spring Bank Holiday weekend we are at Kilima Farm, which is a lovely large field near to Lacock, which is very picturesque. The site is also not far from Chippenham for the Folk Festival, and if you would like a quiet site to come back to and relax after a busy day at the festival, it’s ideal.

Hope to see you at any of our meets and certainly at the Group Easter Meet at Uttoxeter. Good weather and camping to you all.

Mark
